The game works without an account

Stjärnstigen sends no names, game data or analytics to the developer. The game has no ads, tracking or in-app purchases. You do not need an account and can play offline once the app is installed.

What stays on your device

Your optional name or nickname, hero, progress, collections and scores are saved locally. Your language, difficulty, audio settings and seen tips are saved too. This information lets you continue your game and keeps your preferences. You do not need to use your real name.

The score list exists only on your device. The game has no chat, public profiles or sharing of names or scores.

Backups

The game has no cloud sync of its own. Local game data may be included in your device backup, which you manage through your Apple settings. The developer cannot access it.

Deleting game data

Saved games remain until you delete them. In Settings → About the game, choose Delete saved games and names. This removes adventures, scores, medals and animal collections from the app on this device. Your language, audio settings and difficulty stay the same.

You can also delete the app and its data in your device settings. Manage backups separately in your Apple settings.

When you email support

If you email dev@janfang.se, Jan Fång receives your email address and the information you choose to send. It is used to reply, troubleshoot and follow up your request. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in providing support for the game.

Messages are handled through email service providers and kept for as long as needed to handle and follow up the request, or where further retention is required by law. Please do not send sensitive information or your child's real name. An adult can contact support for help with a child's game.

When you visit this website

This is an information website. It has no accounts, contact form or newsletter. We have not added advertising tools, tracking pixels or visitor analytics. The language choice is part of the page address; our page code does not save it in cookies or browser storage.

The website is delivered through ChatGPT Sites by OpenAI, with Cloudflare providing technical infrastructure. When a page is requested, these services may process technical connection information, such as an IP address, the time of the request and browser information, for operation and security. The legitimate interest is to provide and protect the website. We do not maintain our own database of visitor information.

OpenAI describes its processing, retention, any necessary cookies and international transfers in its privacy policy. External services you choose to open, such as the App Store or your email application, have their own privacy terms.

Your rights

Where we process personal data about you, applicable law may give you the right to request access, correction, deletion or restriction, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also have a right to receive your data in a portable format. Email dev@janfang.se to exercise your rights. Game data held only on your device can be deleted directly in the app.

You can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY or your local data protection authority.

Changes and contact

This policy is updated when the game or website changes how it handles information. The date at the top shows the latest update.
